When a client has passed away, you can mark their contact record as "Deceased".

When you check the DECEASED? box, two things occur:

  • An additional field called DATE DECEASED becomes visible, so you can also record the date of their passing.
  • A popup box appears, asking if you would like to change this contact to Inactive.

Changing the contact to Inactive will hide this contact by default when search for clients on the Find page.  You will still be able to access their account by including Inactive clients when searching.  But changing the contact to Inactive will help to keep your Find list clean.  You do not have to make this decision right away - you can leave the client "Active" for now, and change their status to Inactive at a later date.
